DISPUTES & CHILDREN
In an ideal world when couples separate or divorce, they agree between themselves the arrangements for their children. In these cases there is often no need for Solicitors to become involved and there is no need for formal Orders. Sadly, all too often, full or partial agreement cannot be reached.

At fbc Solicitors we offer a specialist service in connection with all aspects of Private Law Proceedings involving children, including adoption. All of our advisors are aware of the sensitive issues involved in cases involving children and aim to provide clear advice setting out the range of options available. We are aware that there may be other means of resolving difficulties than Court proceedings. Issues relating to where the children are to live and how often they see the other parent are very common areas of dispute but we advise on all aspects relating to a child's upbringing.

We represent mothers, fathers and on occasion grand-parents and again Court is often the last resort with every attempt being made to resolve any disputes by negotiation and mediation. We are aware that Court proceedings can be emotionally traumatic and costly. If your case progresses to Court you will be given all the support and advice that you need.
